Vacation

We bought a new sign for the trailer.  (And I haven't killed the flowers yet, in fact, they are growing!)

And Gabe and Mommy came up for a sleepover!

Project of the week

I'm having trouble settling on a project.  I've started a few, but this seems to be the one I'm sticking with lately:

I think I started it because I made a mistake a few rows back, and now have to rip out a thousand or so stitches on this one:

I can only bring myself to do it for about 15 minutes at a time, and then must put it down, or risk crying.

Busy Days and Spring Flowers

I've not posted very much lately, but I have been a bit busy.  Three weekends ago, I went to Chestnut Hill College's Honors Convocation, and found out that I had won the Sister Matthew Anita MacDonald Award in recognition of my academics, leadership and community service.  It was so wonderful to have my family with me as I was recognized for my achievements.

Two weekends ago, I attended graduation, where I was awarded my degree in Mathematics.

My brother came all the way from California to celebrate with me (and play with Gabe)! I even managed to get some knitting done.

This past weekend, we bought lots of lovely flowers to brighten up the campsite.

Announcing Higher Ed Camp Philly

HigherEdCamp is a one day un-conference connecting communities involved in higher education technology. It will take place on Saturday June 6th at the University of Pennsylvania. Attendance is completely free.

HigherEdCamp is about innovating education through an understanding of emerging technologies, adoption of open standards, and participation in evolving communication channels.

Colleges and universities face a challenging economic environment. The pace of technological development is not slowing down. We’ll be gathering together technologists, administrators, faculty, students, and researchers from all over the Philadelphia area and beyond for a day of open discussion on how we can innovate higher education and the technology that powers it.
