May 27 Memorial Day weekend funWe took Friday off and went to the Green Dragon Flea Market.
We picked up these cute frogs and an Eagle's flag.
After chilling with Beth and Andrew on Sunday, the whole gang came up for a cookout on Monday. Krista made an awesome apple pie. If she posts the recipe, I will add a link to it (hint, hint). There are lots more pictures in photos under "Memorial Day 2008" .
Dillon being cute as always:

May 19 Flashback - July 4th week, 2004Haven't been taking many picutres lately, so here's a flashback from a few years ago. We (me, Bob, Kelly and Colleen) went camping near Bushkill Falls. Rock outcroppings fascinate me, I must have been a geologist in a past life. Walking the 5 mile trail wasn't so bad, except on the back end, when we realized we had to walk up as many steps as we walked down. May 14 Mother's Day weekendMy shawl is finished and now lives at the trailer.
While I studied for my final, Bob put the railing on the deck. He's thinking of adding
a third set of boards towards the bottom, as small kids to come to visit us on occasion.
The kids gave me my Mother's Day present on Thursday night, so that I could enjoy it on Mother's Day.
(the swing can also be folded flat and make a nice napping area - way cool)
Note: putting a swing together in the dark with husband is R rated for language - thank goodness no small children are near our campsite! May 07 Maryland Sheep and Wool FunSaturday, I went to Maryland Sheep and Wool. I spent most of my time getting pictures of "Swatchy Green", a knitted doll that is sent into the world to have adventures and raise awareness of CFIDS. It was a great way to meet people, further the cause of this dibilitating illness, and not spend too much money on yarn!
You can read more about swatchy by going to the Travels With Swatchy blog.
I ended up on a bus for about 4 hours, on a train for 40 minutes, then when I got home, in the car for an hour to go to the campground and put in the last sections of deck. The pictures below are showing 4 four foot sections, and we added two more, for a 24 foot deck. After a trip to Lowes for the railing, I think we have finished buying all of the materials we intend to for this year. The goal is for everything to be set up by Memorial day. |
